Kitchen Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our family-friendly team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and quality food. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our kitchen operations, ensuring that meals are prepared efficiently and safely while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.

This is a full-time job, Mon - Fri 7am -3pm

Duties

• Assist in the preparation of meals by learning the grill (sandwiches) and basic prep.
• Work with the team in daily kitchen tasks, including food handling and meal preparation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
• Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is stored, prepared, and served safely.
• Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to supervisors.
• Participate in the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations for service.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal delivery during service hours.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or a kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
• Basic kitchen skills preferred but not required.
• Ability to work efficiently during rush periods- while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting.
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various tasks as needed in the kitchen.
• Ability to follow instructions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 – 42 per week
