Job Summary
Hello! I am seeking a compassionate and responsible Babysitter/Nanny to provide exceptional care to my 2 year old son, who will be 3 in May, in a nurturing environment. I am a nurse at a local Hospital in Oxnard, CA and work 3 days a week, 12 1/2 hour shifts. I am mainly looking for someone to come over and watch/play/take care/feed and keep my son safe while I am at work. The ideal candidate will have experience in childcare and a passion for educating and engaging young minds. This role involves creating a safe, stimulating, and supportive atmosphere for children, ensuring their well-being while fostering their development through various activities.
Duties
- Supervise and engage with children during playtime, educational activities, and daily routines.
- Provide age-appropriate care for my toddler/preschool-aged child.
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks.
- Assist with homework and educational projects to promote learning.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment, including tidying up after meals and playtime.
- Implement daily schedules that include activities such as reading, arts and crafts, outdoor play, and educational games
- Ensure the safety of children at all times by adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, behavior, and any concerns
Qualifications
- Previous experience in childcare or caregiving is preferred.
- Knowledge of child development principles, particularly in preschool settings.
- Ability to provide infant care with patience and understanding.
- First aid certification is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with both children and parents.
- Creativity in planning engaging activities that educate while entertaining children.
- Reliable transportation to travel to the job location as needed.
- A genuine love for working with children and fostering their growth in a caring environment.
