Location: Woodinville, WA

Ideal Start Date: April 14, 2025

Schedule: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays only from 7:30am - 5:00pm

Children: 2 year old and 4 year old

Compensation: $30-$35/hr DOE plus guaranteed hours, two weeks paid time off, accrued paid sick time, six paid federal holidays, and mileage reimbursement. Prefer legal pay with taxes withheld

Family expects this position to last for approximately six months.

The Family:

This tidy, outdoor focused family is looking for a reliable, energetic and patient nanny to help with their two children beginning April 14, 2025. Ideal candidate has two to four years experience caring for multiple energetic and active toddler/pre-school aged children in a similar age range at the same time. Family is specifically seeking a nanny that will get the children outdoors at least 1-2 times per day rain or shine. Children love reading, doing puzzles, and playing make believe. Son loves digging outside, bike riding, and building. Daughter loves exploring, destroying her brother’s building projects and is learning how to ride a scooter. When caring for the children, family is looking for a nanny that emphasizes building a connection with the children and play. Family has a small, hypoallergenic dog. No other special needs or allergies.

The Job Description:

The nanny will be responsible for ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for their children during the day. In addition to general child care, job duties will include:

• Ensure the safety and well-being of both children at all times
• Encourage communication and language skills through reading, storytelling, and conversations
• Organize and supervise playdates with peers to promote social skills and interactions
• Ensure the children get outside to play at least 1-2 times/day rain or shine
• Prepare and provide meals/snacks for the children, accommodating dietary preferences or restrictions
• Plan and lead age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive development, such as arts and crafts, reading/story-telling, and educational games
• Help with light child-related chores including child laundry, organizing toys, etc.
• Daily tidying of spaces used throughout the day so that the home is returned to its original condition at the day’s end
• No household assistant duties but family would appreciate if nanny is willing to handle miscellaneous laundry (towels, linens, etc.) as needed.

Nanny Attributes/Qualifications/Requirements:

Their ideal nanny has a minimum of two to four years of experience caring for multiple energetic toddlers/pre-school aged children at the same time. Candidate must be a non-smoker and should prioritize reliability and consistency. Opportunities for date night and overnight care will be available if the nanny is interested. A background or interest in child development would be a bonus, but not required. The nanny should be up to date on all vaccinations, including TDAP, annual influenza and Covid. They should be current with their Child CPR/First Aid Certification (or willing to update). At least three childcare related references required. A valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and a reliable vehicle for use on the job is preferred but not required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 28.5 per week
