Full-Time Nanny

Full-Time Nanny in Alexandria, VA $25-$30 per hour

A loving and busy family in Alexandria, VA, is seeking a structured, reliable, and experienced full-time nanny for two children aged 3 and 6 yar old. Both parents work full-time, dad has long 12-hour shifts, and mom works outside the home, so they need a nanny who can provide consistency, structure, and a warm, engaging environment for their children.

Schedule:

• Split Shift: 7:00 AM 10:00 AM 3:00 PM 7:00 PM
• Guaranteed 30-35 hours per week (additional hours possible)
• Flexibility to stay later if needed
• Summer schedule remains similar

Compensation Benefits:

• $25-$30 per hour, based on experience
• Paid on the books
• 2 weeks paid vacation, 2-4 sick/personal days, major holidays
• Long-term role with a stable, committed family

Duties Responsibilities:

• Provide structure and support for both children
• School drop-off and pick-up (school starts at 9:00 AM)
• Engage in age-appropriate activities that encourage learning and growth
• Light housekeeping: tidying up, vacuuming, keeping play areas and common spaces organized
• Meal prep light cooking for children
• Caring for two friendly yellow labs
• Must be active and able to keep up with energetic kids

Qualifications:

• Long-term career nanny with experience in structured, engaging childcare
• Comfortable with strong-willed children and adapting to change
• Loving but firm, able to set boundaries while keeping things fun
• Reliable, proactive, and organized
• Must have a safe and reliable car for transportation
• Valid driver's license
• Provide 3-5 professional references
• U.S. work authorization
