Overnight Newborn Care Specialist Flandreau, SD (Short-Term)

Start Date: Late October 2025 (flexible based on babys arrival)
Compensation: $30$32/hour
Schedule: MondayFriday, 10:00 PM6:00 AM (40 hours/week)
Duration: 3-month contract

Overview:
A kind, first-time family in Flandreau, SD is seeking a skilled and nurturing Newborn Care Specialist for overnight support during the babys first three months. With both parents working in high-demand careers, the ideal candidate will be reliable, calm, and confident in overnight newborn care routines. This is a temporary position to help ease the family into early parenthood with professional support.

Responsibilities Include:

• Providing overnight care for a newborn (feeding, diapering, soothing)
• Supporting sleep conditioning and developmentally appropriate care
• Tracking babys sleep and feeding patterns for parental reference
• Maintaining a quiet, restful nighttime environment
• Collaborating occasionally with the familys doula for consistency in care

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience with newborns, especially in overnight roles
• Calm, nurturing presence with excellent newborn instincts
• Pediatric CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
• COVID and Tdap vaccinated
• Provide 3-5 professional references
• Reliable and professional; can maintain healthy boundaries in the home
• Comfortable with pets (family has a sweet, 35-lb, senior dog)
• Must have US work authorization
