Job Description

Part-Time Nanny / Caregiver in Newton, MA

Seeking a reliable and flexible nanny / caregiver for a family with a 5-year-old son, who has medical complexities (G-tube and CPAP), and a 7-year-old daughter. The ideal candidate is caring, adaptable, and experienced in working with children who have special needs. The role involves providing support for the family and occasional overnight care when the night nurse is unavailable or during sick days.

Pay : $30-$35 per hour

Hours : Monday - Friday 5pm-9pm

Guaranteed hours : 20 hours per week (even if not needed)

Start date : ASAP

Schedule :

Morning school drop-offs and afternoon pick-ups.
Summer camp drop-offs and pick-ups.
Saturday nights for date night (2-3 hours).
Flexibility to provide care during the day or night as needed.
On-call availability for sick days or when the night nurse is unavailable (rare occurrences).

Responsibilities :

Safely transport children to and from school, activities, and camps.

Provide care for the 5-year-old son, including G-tube feeding and CPAP management.

Support evening routines, including dinner preparation and putting the children to bed.

Provide occasional care on Saturday nights for date night.

Help with household tasks as needed if the children do not require care.

Qualifications :

Prior experience working with children, particularly those with medical complexities, such as G-tube feeding and CPAP management.

Flexible and adaptable to various shifts.

Reliable driver with a clean driving record.

CPR / First Aid certified (or willing to obtain).

Comfortable with occasional overnight care.

Willingness to assist with household tasks if needed.

Provide 3-5 professional references.

Salary : $30 - $35
