Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and responsible Babysitter/Nanny to provide high-quality childcare for our family. The ideal candidate will have experience caring for (4) children of various ages ranging from 1-5, and will be dedicated to ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. This role requires flexibility, patience, and a genuine love for working with children. This position can be salary or hourly.
Oldest child will be attending school full time, 2nd oldest will be starting 2025 school year. On average, 2 working days per month depending on overall schedule will be paid time off for the Nanny due to traveling to see extended family. This varies per time of year and schedule, frequency may increase or decrease.
Duties
- Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities to promote their physical, emotional, and social development.
- Provide attentive care for infants and toddlers, including diaper changes, feeding, and nap time.
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks while accommodating any dietary restrictions or preferences.
- Assist with homework and educational activities for older children.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment by tidying up play areas and children's belongings.
- Ensure the safety of children at all times by adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's daily activities, behavior, and any concerns that may arise.
- Administer first aid when necessary and maintain a calm demeanor in emergency situations.
- Situational, picking up or dropping kids off at school in provided vehicle.
Experience
- Proven experience in babysitting or nannying is preferred; familiarity with toddler care and infant care is highly valued.
- Background in childcare settings such as daycare or caregiving roles is a plus.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is beneficial but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is encouraged.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with both children and parents.
- A patient, nurturing attitude coupled with excellent communication skills.
