Babysitter/Nanny

Seeking a loving, patient, and organized nanny for my family in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. We have four children, ranging from 7 months to 5 years old, and looking for a nurturing caregiver who will be a trusted part of our family for the long term. The ideal nanny will be proactive, able to manage various tasks and schedules, and provide a loving, structured environment while fostering independence in the children.

Responsibilities:

• Provide loving and attentive care for children, including the 5-year-old, 4-year-old, and 2-year-old, as well as 7-month-old baby.
• Manage daily routines, including school drop-offs and pick-ups, activities, meal times, and naps.
• Create and schedule fun and educational activities, focusing on both play and development.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in play areas, the children’s rooms, and kitchen; clean up after meals and tidy up toys after playtime.
• Assist with children's laundry during downtime.
• Assist in fostering independence and good manners in the children, using positive reinforcement and structured discipline.
• Travel with the us occasionally for overnight stays, if necessary.
• Communicate effectively with us about the children’s progress and needs.
• Adhere to home rules ie: including never leaving children alone in the bath, not driving in canyons with the kids, and cleaning up any messes made in the kitchen.

Requirements:

• Non-smoker/vaper
• Experience working with young children, including toddlers and infants
• Up-to-date vaccinations preferred
• Available for 20-30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with occasional extended hours (up to 12 hours a day). Guaranteed 20 hours per week
• Ability to be flexible with the schedule, as parents may have weekly changes to their work hours
• Comfortable with video monitoring of nanny and children
• Ability to handle household duties in addition to childcare responsibilities, with priority given to caring for the children
• A clean, professional appearance and demeanor

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive hourly rate (Start $25/hr)

• Flexible schedule with a minimum guaranteed number of hours per week
• Cash allowance for child/household-related needs
• Live-in accommodations available in a walkout basement apartment, with a private kitchen (if desired)

* Availability on weekdays at least 8-6 (Mom plans to work 1-3 long days per week and us the other days for coverage to do errands/appts/etc.

* Not really interested in someone in school because we are hoping for long term relationship
