The VP Commercial Loan Officer sources commercial loan opportunities, recommends credit and lending actions, cultivates customer relationships, and assists in monitoring of all loans sourced and originated by Nano Banc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  1. Responsible for all loan sourcing, prospecting, and preliminary due diligence of prospective commercial loans. Structure loans, negotiate loan terms with potential borrowers balancing loan level profitability and risk of default/loss.
  2. Maintain ongoing market knowledge of the Banc’s defined assessment area and prepare board presentations detailing current and expected conditions
  3. Cultivate and maintain relationships with commercial loan brokers in Southern California
  4. Present recommended loans and prospects to the Banc’s Management Loan Committee prior to Letter of Intent issuance.
  5. Review and interpret third party due diligence reports, including appraisals, market assessments, plan and cost reviews, and environmental reports to determine transaction viability, and appropriate loan structure.
  6. Review credit approval memos and present to approval authorities, including Senior Management as required under Loan Policy.
  7. Manage and direct loan client inquiries to appropriate staff or Banc personnel to ensure high level of customer service.
  8. Support credit department by ensuring loan clients adhere to reporting requirements and other requirements of subject loan documents.
  9. Cultivate client relationships for projects aligned with Nano Banc’s strategic growth initiatives.
  10. Reviews exist and new client relationships for credit quality, structure, and pricing.
  11. Promotes and develops new business for the Banc.
  12. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, 3 years of leadership experience, 6 years of lending experiencing including consumer, mortgage, and commercial lending, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Dependability, reliable, and a self-starter with multi-tasking skills
  • Professional demeanor
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • NMLS is preferred.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Demands: 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Salary : $125,000 - $165,000
