What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Van Driver position at Nanosoft Transportation?
We are seeking a School Van Driver who will be responsible for transporting special needs students to school in Streetsboro, Ohio. This route will have a monitor who will ride with you in the mornings and afternoons.
*Must be willing to drive additional routes when needed, you will be compensated for any additional routes that you do.
Compensation:
$250 weekly.
Hours
First Pickup: 8:15AM
School Dismissal: 2:30PM
Vehicle:
You will be provided with a van or shuttle bus which will be provided for your use during the school week. It is only to be driven during your routes, personal use is prohibited. You will receive gas money weekly as needed to fuel the vehicle. As a driver, your main priority is to ensure the safety of students during transport and to show up to your assigned routes on time.
Responsibilities:
Ensure the safe operation of the vehicle when transporting students and make sure all students have on their seat belts during every pick-up.
Maintain assigned vehicles, both interior and exterior (e.g. cleaning floors/windows/seats, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring safety, appearance, and sanitation of vehicle.
Monitor passengers during transit for the purpose of maintaining order and ensuring the safety of passengers.
Drive a District van over designated routes according to established time schedules.
Pick up and drop off students and/or students with disabilities at designated stops and/or home.
Drop students off on the same side of the street in front of their home.
Follow District policies by establishing and maintaining daily record of assigned routes, van operation and lists of student passengers and tracking route miles.
Wash, sweep, refuel and perform safety checks and inspections on vans.
Perform other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position.
Experience:
Previous experience as a van driver or in a similar driving role is preferred.
Familiarity with driving regulations and safety standards
Knowledge of local roads and routes
Requirements:
This position requires a valid driver's license and a BCI & FBI background check and DOT physical which will be paid by the company.
