Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. As the Kitchen Manager, you will oversee kitchen operations, manage staff, and ensure that all food safety standards are met while maintaining high-quality food production.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the kitchen team, providing training development and support to ensure a cohesive work environment.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations including inventory management, food preparation, and presentation.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen.
- Collaborate with the front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
- Manage cash handling procedures and assist with financial reporting as needed.
- Develop menus that reflect current trends while meeting customer preferences.
- Monitor food costs and waste to maintain profitability without sacrificing quality.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of kitchen staff and provide constructive feedback.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or similar role in a quick service fast food restaurant or fine dining setting.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and training development.
- Proficiency with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team.
- Knowledge of banquet operations is a plus.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience is desirable but not required.
