Certification Details BLS ACLS PALS TNCC NIHSS Job Details Care of emergency patients, age : birth to death, trauma, cardiac, respiratory, surgical, pediatric, stroke, general medical. Triage using ESI, assessment and identification of immediate needs, IV, cardiac monitoring, blood draw, administer medications, trauma resuscitation, codes, patient teaching. Equipment utilized includes Cerner for charting, paper flowsheet for stroke, codes, trauma, level one, ranger, cardiac monitor, defibrillator, Omnicell. Job Requirements Active DE License required BLS (AHA Only) required ACLS (AHA Only) required TNCC required NIHSS required 2 Years ED experience required Schedule Information 3-12 hour shifts based on needs of the department. Usually either mid-shift 11-11 or 1-1 OR 7p-7a shift. Weekends required, every other or every third based on needs of the department. No call time required, ED does not require working alone. Unit Specific Information First day with educator - no exceptions - based on availability and 2-12 hour shifts with preceptor on the unit.
