What are the responsibilities and job description for the Communications Manager position at Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce?
The Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce is expanding its team and is looking for motivated, high-energy candidates to join a staff of professionals committed to Nantucket’s economic vibrancy and to promoting tourism. Successful candidates will be team-oriented and will have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the positions are in-person, on Nantucket.
Communications Manager:
- Responsible for coordinating and executing on-going communication to the Chamber membership including weekly newsletters, Chamber event e-blasts and member sponsored e-blasts. Coordinate social media to promote Chamber programs and raise visibility for Chamber events. Develop strategies to enhance visibility for Chamber resources and services. Manage third-party agreements for other Marketing endeavours.
Qualifications:
- Strong member-service orientation
- Basic understanding of Nantucket’s tourism industry and timing
- Proficiency with Google products (GMail, Drive, Sheets, Docs)
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Critical thinking and problem solving
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $72,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
