Duties
- Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to specifications and customer requests.
- Ensure all meat products are handled in compliance with food safety standards and regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including tools and equipment.
- Package meat products for display and sale, ensuring proper labeling and pricing.
- Assist customers with inquiries regarding meat selections and preparation methods, providing excellent customer service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to fulfill orders efficiently and accurately.
- Monitor inventory levels of meat products and communicate needs to management as necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food production or as a Meat Cutter is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
- Excellent knife skills with the ability to operate cutting equipment safely.
- Familiarity with kitchen environments and restaurant operations is an asset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
