TITLE: Elementary Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities (LBLD Focus) Long Term SubstituteREPORTS TO: Principal of Nantucket Intermediate School JOB SUMMARY: Nantucket Intermediate School is seeking a compassionate and skilled Long-Term Substitute Special Education Teacher to support elementary students with language-based learning disabilities. This role involves providing targeted instruction in pull-out and inclusion settings, collaborating with general education teachers, and implementing evidence-based strategies to help students achieve their IEP goals. Experience with Orton-Gillingham or similar multisensory instructional methods is preferred. The ideal candidate will foster a positive, inclusive environment that promotes student growth and success.QUALIFICATIONS: Hold a valid license granted by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities or Reading Specialist preferred.
