What are the responsibilities and job description for the Anodize Operator - 3rd Shift position at NAP_National Aerospace Processing?
Job Summary:
Responsible for operating metal finishing lines within established procedures and guidelines in a high production environment. Supports production in various capacities as assigned. **Hours for this position will be 5 days a week from 10:30pm to 7:00am starting on Sunday evening each week.**
Essential Job Functions:
- Support production in multiple work assignments, as needed.
- Determine proper fixtures, racks, and finish specifications by following drawings and operation sheets.
- Complete masking per critical operation sheets for chemical processing.
- Maintain good housekeeping during all phases of production.
- Meet established safety, quality, and production standards.
- Load and unload parts as necessary to support chemical processes.
- Inspect parts for quality assurance.
- Complete operator maintenance per schedules.
- Support production in multiple work assignments, as needed.
Additional Duties:
- Provide support for Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives, companywide.
- Other duties, reporting, special assignments, or projects as needed and assigned.
- Must remain current with, and complete, all required training as assigned.
- Must adhere to Company Corporate EHS Policy and department, occupation, and task specific safety protocols, including but not limited to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
Qualifications:
- 2 years’ manufacturing experience operating manufacturing/production equipment.
- Shop level math skills.
- Experience following written work instructions and blueprints.
- Strong mechanical aptitude preferred.
- Able to work in a team environment, including being cross-trained for multiple work assignments.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office products and ERP systems (vantage and/or E-10 preferred).
- Must submit to and satisfactorily pass any pre-employment screening required for employment with the Company.
- Must take medical exams required by law, in conjunction with occupation specific activities, the physical work environment, and ongoing industrial hygiene sampling results.
- Depending on assignment, may be required to use stairs, remain upright and/or seated for prolonged timeframes, intermittently reposition the body per various tasks performed, and use various tools and work-related supplies.
- May be required to perform manual lifting activities, not to exceed a 40lb lift performed by one individual.
