A solid Sales Floor team is the key to success in the Automotive and Hardware industry. The Sales Floor Associate is primarily responsible for assisting customers with all their shopping needs and any questions they may have. The expectation is that all employees go above and beyond to help the customer with whatever project they may be working on.
This position will also assist in cashier, receiving, stocking, and pricing of all merchandise and help maintain a clean and orderly merchandise presentation and overall store cleanliness.
Primary responsibilities include:
Customer Service:
- Provide a positive representation.
- Proactively assist customers in solving problems.
- Greet customers entering and shopping the store.
- Thank customers when finished and when they are leaving the store.
- Possess a friendly outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as team members.
- Ensure all pages and calls are answered promptly, courteously, and effectively.
- Forward any customer complaint that cannot be handled to a member of management.
- Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and location of products.
- Assist customers throughout the store with personal and customized service based on the premise of impressing every customer, every time.
Store Operations:
- Maintain a positive, professional, and safe work environment.
- Receiving, checking in, and stocking of merchandise throughout the store.
- Maintain stock levels.
- Daily maintenance, orderliness, and cleanliness of the sales floor, stock room, and outdoor merchandise area.
- Merchandise resets, price changes, and special orders.
- Operate forklift with proper training.
- Communicate any Store Support Center issue to General Manager for follow up.
- Communicate any merchandising, cost control or sales idea to General Manager.
- Participate in store meetings.
- Be professional in appearance and actions.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Desired skills include:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to carry loads up to 50 pounds multiple times a day.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to include some weekends and evenings.
- Must enjoy working with people in a fast-paced and exciting environment.
- Prior retail and/or hardware (construction, building, maintenance, etc.) experience preferred.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
