Auto Parts Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Parts Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing inventory, assisting customers with their parts needs, and ensuring efficient operations within our retail environment. This position requires excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of parts and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers in identifying and selecting the right parts for their needs.
• Manage inventory control processes, ensuring accurate stock levels and timely reordering of parts.
• Utilize cash handling procedures effectively, including operating the cash register and processing transactions accurately.
• Maintain organized displays of parts and products to enhance the shopping experience for customers.
• Negotiate with vendors to secure favorable terms for purchasing parts when necessary.
• Assist in the training of new staff on inventory management systems and customer service best practices.
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for tracking inventory and managing orders.
• Perform regular audits of inventory to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.

Qualifications

• Strong phone etiquette with the ability to communicate effectively with customers over the phone and in person.
• Bilingual or multilingual skills are highly desirable to assist a diverse customer base.
• Previous experience in retail sales or a similar environment is preferred, with a focus on parts or automotive sales being a plus.
• Proficient math skills for handling cash transactions and conducting inventory calculations accurately.
• Experience with cash handling procedures, including operating cash registers efficiently.
• Familiarity with inventory control systems and practices is essential for maintaining stock accuracy.
• A proactive attitude towards learning about new products and industry trends to better serve customers.
