Duties
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle, including vans and box trucks, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients during deliveries.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
- Manage delivery documentation, including packing slips and delivery confirmations.
- Handle any issues or delays in a professional manner, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or Courier is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Experience in route driving and knowledge of local roads is beneficial.
- Ability to lift heavy packages and perform moving tasks as required.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is essential.
