What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Driver position at Napa Auto Parts?
Job Classification:
All employees are classified as nonexempt. Some positions are subject to a change in exemption status. A change in status will not occur without a meeting between management and affected employee(s) to discuss salary and responsibilities.
Job Summary:
The Delivery Driver will transport orders and provide delivery service. This position is either full time or part time and does not include evenings or weekends. The full time Delivery Driver is expected to attend paid mandatory company meetings and events.
Essential Job Duties:
- Responsible for driving company vans to deliver parts to customers.
- Need to be insurable.
- Pull parts to get ready for delivery.
- Clean out vehicles.
- Customer returns.
- Must adhere to all driving laws.
- Stocks parts as needed.
- Report vehicle maintenance needs to Fleet Manager.
- Responsible for signing receipt for parts, checking in parts, inspection of parts.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Essential Job Skills: **
- Excellent communication skills including active listening.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
