Delivery/ Route Driver

Classification: Full Time

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Reports To: Warehouse Manager or Store Manager, depending upon location of position.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

· Accurately checks, verifies, stocks, and pulls inventory to meet store and customer orders.

· Maintain a professional appearance as you will have direct customer contact.

· Deliver parts to assigned accounts in a timely manner.

· Performs daily inspections of appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including but not limited to delivery vehicles, pallet jack and hand truck, scanners, printers, tablets, and ladders.

· Operates warehouse machinery in accordance with established safety procedures as needed to maintain the warehouse stock.

· Completes required trainings and certifications as instructed.

· Stays abreast of and complies with hazardous material regulations and procedures.

· Assists in maintaining a clean, organized warehouse environment always.

· Comply with all applicable laws / regulations, as well as company policies / procedures.

· Actively participates in all safety initiatives.

· Utilize and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required or as needed.

· Communicate effectively across all departments as needed.

· Maintain and contribute to a safe, positive working environment.

· Maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

· Keep Vehicle Clean Inside and outside.

· Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications: Automotive Knowledge and/or Experience:

· Requires completion of a high school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of experience and education.

· Previous experience in a distribution center and/or warehouse environment preferred.

· Communicate effectively, up through the chain of command.

· Work in a positive, productive, and professional manner.

· Must be able to read, understand written/verbal/audio instructions, and communicate (written and verbally) to other team members.

· Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment.

· Ability to lift / carry by hand freight weighing up to 60 pounds several times a day.

· Able to push/pull up to 300 lbs. using mechanical aids, such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, barrel dollies, hydraulic lifts, etc.

· Ability to bend, twist, squat, climb, push and pull and move at an efficient pace, Company standards.

Physical Requirements:

Physical demands to successfully perform essential job functions (reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities): standing, walking, lifting materials up to 60 pounds (individual or team), carrying, pushing/pulling up to 300 lbs. using mechanical aids, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, bending, squatting, reaching and twisting.

Noise Level:

The Noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate to noisy, the employee usually will work in a non-climate-controlled environment. Work will entail the use of computer equipment.The employee works alone, with others, around others, with verbal and face to face contact. Ability to travel within the Reno / Sparks area and to rural Nevada. Some overnight stays may be required.
