Job Description:

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to coordinate the delivery of auto parts to our customers. As a Dispatcher, you will be responsible for managing delivery schedules, optimizing routes, and ensuring that our drivers provide timely and professional service. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate Deliveries: Assign and schedule delivery routes to drivers to ensure timely and efficient service.
• Monitor Fleet Operations: Track deliveries, communicate with drivers, and adjust routes as needed to account for traffic, weather, or urgent orders.
• Customer Communication: Work closely with customers to provide accurate delivery times, resolve any issues, and maintain strong relationships.
• Inventory & Order Management: Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure correct parts are being dispatched and delivered.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, driver schedules, and customer requests.
• Problem-Solving: Quickly address any delivery delays, route changes, or customer concerns to maintain a smooth operation.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with drivers, warehouse staff, and management to ensure seamless operations.
• Processing payments: Accurately handling payment transactions including credit card, check and cash.
• Inspecting returned parts and cores and preparing them for return.
• Maintaining the fleet to ensure vehicles are in safe and proper working order and flag problems that detract from safe, quality delivery service.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Previous experience in dispatching, logistics, or a similar role (experience in auto parts is a plus!).
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions.
• Basic computer skills, including experience with scheduling or dispatch software.
• Knowledge of Yuma and surrounding areas for efficient routing (preferred).
• Agility to bend to floor level shelves and reach upper shelves with use of stool or ladder.
• Capable of lifting and moving items of up to 55, occasionally 75 pounds.
• Stamina to stand and walk for entire work shift.
• Capable of withstanding summer heat outdoors when in and out of the store and vehicles.

Compensation:

· Job Type: Full Time
Pay Range: $16 - $20/hr (depending on experience)
