What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Coordinator position at NAPA Center?
Position Overview:
The Patient Coordinator is expected to be a compassionate, caring, professional and discrete with a high level of organization skills. Attention to detail is a must. The Patient Coordinator reports to the General Manager and is an integral part of the Front Office Team.
Requirements:
- Energetic, friendly, and empathetic
- Confident and personable with the ability to get along with a wide range of personalities
- 1-3 years’ experience in a health care setting with a focus on customer service
- Computer competence across Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) with the ability to quickly learn a variety of other online software systems
- Strong organization skills
- Ability to multi-task, shift focus across tasks as needed, and manage priorities.
- Working knowledge of an electronic medical records system (Raintree) preferred but not required.
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good time management skills
- Able to contribute positively as part of a team, helping with various tasks as required.
Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and visitors with a positive, helpful attitude
- Assist clients in finding their way around the clinic
- Provide clinic tours as requested
- Support clients with check-in process
- Collecting patient information and providing it to relevant departments
- Ensuring that each patient has the proper documentation
- Process all patient intakes
- Maintain and keep patient information confidential
- Answer all incoming calls in a professional manner, and routing calls as necessary
- Scheduling appointments
- Provide excellent customer service
- Respond to questions. Provide follow up and resolve open questions with a timely manner
- Perform a variety of clerical and administrative tasks
- Track all prescriptions and ensure that expiring prescriptions are renewed prior to their expiration
- Collect all co-pays and balances and ensure the clients signs all required documents prior to the start of the patient’s appointment
- Track inventory of electrodes, NNES, and other items as requested
- Maintain voicemail and emails logs for documentation purposes
- Provides support to the Front Office Team as needed
Physical Demands:
While performing the essential functions of this job, the incumbent must be able to do the following: stand for extended periods; sit for extended periods; bend and reach for filing and other job-related functions; climb up and down stairs; bend, stoop, and lift to move and retrieve materials; pull, push, and lift; reach both above and below shoulder height. Specific visual abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to visually inspect work. Manual dexterity to operate computer and other office equipment required.

Salary : $20 - $23
