Assists with day-to-day classroom operations in Career Technical Education Classes (CTE) throughout Napa County (Calistoga, Napa Valley and St. Helena Unified School Districts). Looking for candidates with a background in Ag, Construction, Culinary, Manufacturing/Engineering and Graphic Design to fill multiple positions. Sets up classroom and lab simulations and oversees student safety in carrying out work processes. Tutors students on an individual and small-group basis. Keeps teacher apprised of student progress during classroom instruction. Maintains up-to-date knowledge and skills related to the duties and responsibilities. Applicant must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma. This position requires lifting and bending. This position is 8 hours per day during the regular school year Monday through Friday

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Under the direction of a teacher, prepares labs and tests for evaluation of students’ progress and mastery of skills.
• Operates and cares for equipment used in the classroom or laboratories for instructional purposes.
• Works with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of material or skills initially introduced by the Instructors.
• Interpret and translate for non-and-limited English speaking students
• Assists the Instructors in devising special strategies for reinforcing material or skills based on an understanding of individual students, their needs, interests, and abilities.
• Realize when curriculum modifications are necessary for meeting the students' needs and provide appropriate modifications.
• Assists with inventory records for instruments and equipment, reorders supplies and completes needed paperwork for programs.
• Assists in clean up and breakdown activities following the execution of classroom exercises.
• May travel from site to site and/or room to room.
• Performs other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position.
