Wilmington,NC - USA Position Requirements Excellent opportunity for an anesthesiologist to join our group practice in Wilmington, NC, serving a 678-bed tertiary care center Description Our practice is based out of the New Hanover Regional Medical Center, a 678-bed level II trauma center, which serves as a tertiary care center for seven counties in southeastern coastal North Carolina. We also provide anesthesia services to multiple other locations across the Cape Fear region, including, Caper Fear (Orthopedic) Hospital, Pender Memorial Hospital, Dosher Hospital (Southport), Atlantic SurgiCenter, as well as various office-based settings. Many of our physicians have fellowship training in cardiovascular, pain management, regional, and pediatric anesthesiology. Requirements Responsibilities Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures Pre-anesthesia assessment Obtains and/or verifies patient consent Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition Performance of clinical intervention as needed Requirements M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine ECFMG and FLEX Completion of approved residency in anesthesia Currently licensed as a physician Lifestyle Wilmington, NC: The old colonial port city of Wilmington, NC, celebrates a rich history.
