Overview:
Under the direct supervision of the Gymnastics Coordinator, the Gymnastics Supervisor is responsible for the implementation and supervision of the gymnastics classes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages work of gymnastics staff, including planning, assigning, scheduling, and reviewing work, ensuring quality standards. Is responsible for training, developing, reviewing performance, and administering performance improvement plans for staff.
- Serve as the point of contact and support for the gymnastics staff.
- Lead and monitor small groups of participants in gymnastics activities. Spot participants while they are performing gymnastics.
- Demonstrate fundamental gymnastics skills.
- Provide a safe and positive environment for all participants.
- Inspect and secure gymnastics equipment.
- Demonstrate and support District customer service standards.
- Works closely with the Gymnastics Coordinator in the planning, organizing, and implementing of all gymnastics classes.
- Maintain on-going open communication and notify the Gymnastics Coordinator of situations regarding the operation of the program such as broken equipment, equipment shortages, and facility damage. Report inventory in need of replacement to Gymnastics Coordinator.
- Ensure compliance with program outcomes and develop specific goals and objectives related to improvement of programs and special events.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with gymnastics staff to help obtain the goals and objectives of the program.
- Record and communicate any difficult situations or behaviors to the Gymnastics Coordinator.
- Distribute written communications to participants as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in early childhood or childcare, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, First Aid, CPR, and AED certification within two (2) months of hire.
Special Considerations:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Subject to modified/flexible work schedules.
- Ability to lift, carry, and/or move objects weighing ≤ 30 lbs. on a daily basis. Lifting assistance is required when lifting > 30 lbs.
- Regular onsite attendance is an essential function of this position.
