Naples Botanical Garden is a 170-acre world-class paradise, featuring the flora and cultures of the tropics and sub-tropics including Brazil, the Caribbean, Southeast Asia, and Florida. The Garden’s mission is to connect people and plants through display, education, conservation, and applied science. Line Cook Position Summary: Responsible for food preparation and execution throughout service in Fogg Café as well as other items.
Requirements
Line Cook Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Understanding of food items according to standards and proper preparation and execution
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation
- Understanding of organization and cleanliness
- Understanding set up and break down daily
- Maintain consistent product
- Understand and comply with basic operations as in prep lists, and scheduled cleaning operations
- Maintain security and organization of storage area
- Communicate par levels and workload
- Willingness to go above and beyond for guess experience
- Maintain proper food rotation and proper handling and storage
- Assistance in organizing and storing incoming deliveries correctly
- All other duties assigned by management
Line Cook Requirements / Qualifications:
- Consistency and quality product produced in accordance with kitchen standards.
- Amount of work and quality of work produced.
- Ability to maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization.
- Attendance and promptness.
- Attitude, teamwork, professionalism, and awareness with a sense of urgency.
- Must be able to work in temperature extremes and noisy environments.
- Must be able to stand and exert a well-paced mobility for up to eight hours.
- Must be able to lift forty pounds.
- Must have manual hand and finger dexterity for adept use of kitchen equipment.
- Must be able to listen attentively and facilitate the communication process.
- A pre-employment background check required.
