Overview
Naples Heritage Golf & Country Club is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head Golf professional. The community is made up of 799 units ranging from single family homes, condos and villas. Amenities include: a beautiful 18-hole Audubon Certified golf course, fitness center, tennis, bocce, dining and an active social calendar. NHGCC is a “welcoming environment in a natural setting.” Naples Heritage is a bundled high volume Golf community that does 46,000 rounds per year. We are looking for a Class-A PGA Member with a minimum of 3 years experience in private facilities. The Head Golf Professional will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional golf experiences to our members & guests, while delivering the highest customer service. The current Director of Golf (D.O.G.) is retiring at the end of 2024. The qualified and proven candidate will then become Head Golf Professional (under new D.O.G.) starting in 2025.
Position Overview:
The Head Golf Professional will report to and support the Director of Golf and work cooperatively with other departments. The position will promote an exceptional “golf experience,” and provide services and programs to all members and their guests. In addition to assisting the Director of Golf with the overall operation of the Golf Department, the Head Golf Professional will also focus on the development and management of the LGA, MGA, instruction, and merchandise. Your leadership will be instrumental in mentoring and guiding our team of golf staff, fostering an environment where every member feels welcome, valued, and not an interruption of our day.
Experience RequiredClass-A PGA Membership is required.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in high-end daily fee, resort, or private facilities.
Strong desire to advance to Director of Golf role.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Extensive experience in tournament operations with strong command of Golf Genius tournament software. (Golf Genius Certified preferred)
High experience in Jonas POS/ Chelsea tee time system/ and GHIN.
Extensive knowledge of golf operations, and customer service standards.
Essential ResponsibilitiesEnforce all policies and procedures and rules and regulations established by the club.
Assist with the overall merchandising of the golf shop.
Hires, trains, and supervises golf shop and outside services staff.
Track and verify all players and guests, golf cars, club care, handicap fees, and other charges necessary.
Enhance, maintain, manage, and oversee the LGA & MGA Leagues.
Assist in communication to the members via publication of newsletters, website, informational and promotional materials, and actively promote golf events at the club.
Provide golf instruction for all members and their guests.
Maintain close working relationships with the Director of Golf, Assistant Golf Professionals, and all department heads.
