Job Summary:
As a Front Desk Receptionist/Assistant at our table tennis club, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and administrative support to club members and visitors. You will be the first point of contact for anyone entering the facility and will play a vital role in ensuring a positive experience for all guests.
Responsibilities:
1. Greeting and Welcoming Guests:
- Welcome and greet all members, guests, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide information about the club's services, facilities, and programs.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate staff members.
2. Membership and Registration:
- Assist new members with the registration process, including providing membership forms, explaining membership options, and collecting necessary information.
- Process membership applications and fees accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain an organized membership database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of all members.
3. Facility Management:
- Collect day-pass/walk-in fees if not a member and ensure accurate payment processing.
- Monitor the availability and cleanliness of equipment, such as tables, paddles, and balls, and coordinate with the maintenance staff for any necessary repairs or replacements.
4. Administrative Duties:
- Perform general clerical tasks, such as filing and data entry.
- Assist in the coordination and promotion of club events, tournaments, and leagues.
- Handle cash transactions, maintain cash register, and reconcile daily transactions.
5. Customer Service:
- Address member inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Provide guidance and assistance to members regarding club policies, rules, and regulations.
- Maintain a friendly and supportive atmosphere for club members and visitors.
- Play table tennis with customers when there are odd numbers.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a customer service or receptionist role is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficient in computer applications such as Google Doc and Google Sheet.
- Knowledge of table tennis rules and equipment is a plus.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and maintain a professional appearance.
Working Conditions:
This position will require working primarily indoors at the front desk/reception area of the table tennis club. You may need to work mornings, evenings, and weekends to accommodate the club's operating hours and events.
