Job Description
Join our team in a fast paced kitchen, preparing & serving scratch foods per menu and specials of the day. Operating hours are 11:30 - 8 Tuesday through Saturday. Part-time with potential for full time. Minimum one year line/grill experience required.
Responsibilities:
Reading/understanding details on food tickets and preparing dishes according to order/menu.
Answer, report to and follow Executive Chef’s instructions.
Understanding of all menu items and dish preparations including prep, pantry and line. Ability to work grill or expo.
Setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies.
Preparing food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, cutting meat, portioning food items etc.)
Attentive plating and presentation of menu items. Track and report food inventory, supplies and equipment that need to be ordered.
Work with other food preparation personnel to ensure food adheres to standards of quality.
Clean up kitchen station/equipment and proper storage of leftover food.
Ensure that food tickets come out accurately, simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards. Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen (washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash, mopping floors etc.)
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
Communicate details of food items and specials, including all ingredients and flavorings to waitstaff.
