What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative and Logistics Support Specialist position at NAR Training?
SUMMARY
This North American Rescue (NAR) administrative and logistics support specalist will participate as a TEAM member within the NAR Simulations department and help facilitate the organizations goals and objectives. Specifically, this position executes various work duties: procurement, inventory control, work order facilitation, and process improvement.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
This is not an all-inclusive list of duties and responsibilities. Projects/duties may be modified/changed/added/deleted as needed.
Inventory control:
Ensure accurate physical inventory records for inbound and outbound items
Cycle count items in inventory on a weekly basis
Executing adjustments in the ERP system based upon inventory on hand to ensure proper accountability
Procurement:
Lead the procurement process to meet NAR Simulation needs
Follow a documented procurement standard that evaluates suppliers to maintain relationships
Generate purchase orders to maintain stock for acceptable inventory levels
Work Order Facilitation:
Generate and pull inventory from picklists for manufacturing orders
Closes manufacturing orders in the ERP system to ensure accuracy
Process Improvement
Drive continuous improvement on all aspects of the position
Ensure best practices and procedures are updated and followed
Shipping/Receiving
Receiving items into the ERP and warehouse system for inventory
Directly controls all inventory on hand for raw materials and finished goods
Process customer orders for shipment
Manage the return and exchange of products
Warranty processing
Communicate with customers as needed for warranty returns and shipments
SUPPLEMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES
· Completes any tasks and/or projects assigned by supervisor
AUTHORITY
· Provides training support when directed by supervisor
ACCOUNTABILITY
· Responsible for all raw and finished goods in the warehouse
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
Competency and Skills
· Possesses basic MS-Office suite experience
Experience
· Experience with ERP systems is desired
· Experience in shipping and receiving is desired

DEMANDS

· This is a full-time position with an expectation of 40 hours each week
· Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as production schedule demands
