Summary

This position requires a seasoned Special Operations Medic or higher-level provider with extensive knowledge and experience in Tactical medicine to run and manage the education requirements to teach TCCC, TECC, PHTLS, Special Operations Medical, and custom courses.  Additionally, this position is responsible for developing solutions to meet specific requirements and objectives received from external sources (e.g. government contract opportunities).  The successful candidate will be expected to thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented environment while managing and creating educational programs.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides Operational Medicine curriculum development and course instruction for North American Rescue (NAR) Training, ensuring training products are built and updated to the highest quality to keep NAR Training curricula, exams, and courses relevant and in-demand.
  • Writes, formats, organizes, and manages NAR Training curricula as comprehensive programs of instruction, containing all the information a course manager, instructor, and support person requires to properly execute the training.
  • Ensures all curricula and curricula-supporting documentation is highly organized and saved to a NAR enterprise compliant network drive Curriculum Vault System (CVS)
  • Populates and maintains the CVS folders with all course offerings that exist in the NAR Training portfolio.
  • Manages access permissions, secure back-up plans, and all aspects of data management and business continuity regarding the CVS.
  • Manages Curriculum quality control program.
  • Manages instructor quality control program.
  • Actively participates in teaching classroom sessions, skills labs, and field scenarios.
  • Selects, mentors, and evaluates a fully capable, qualified, and standardized cadre of medical instructors and support personnel.
  • Meets with prospective customers, develops positive NAR Training client relationships, and promotes the sales of NAR Training and Education programs.
  • Meeting with customers to discuss and develop custom curriculum and courses.
  • Contributes to NAR Marketing and Communications (MARCOM) in the development of content to ensure successful attainment of NAR enterprise goals.
  • Assists with the testing and evaluation of products and solutions used in the NAR Training program environment.
  • Identifies “gaps” during authorized customer training sessions and provides real-time product and/or capability feedback to the NAR Innovation Team.
  • Assists all organizations within NAR to facilitate initiatives in sourcing and/or developing equipment and training related customer solutions.

ACCOUNTABILITY

 

  • Ensures all education and training programs are in compliance with approved NAR Training medical control protocols as well as local, state, and federal standards, rules, and regulations.
  • Ensures processes and controls are in place to deliver training programs with technically accurate content.
  • Ensures that training programs are safe to execute and are executed in a fiscally responsible manner with regards to resource utilization

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

 

  • Associate degree and 8 years relevant experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 6 years relevant experience required.
  • NREMT-Paramedic OR Higher Level Provider required.

 

 

Competency and Skills

 

  • Communicates with other team members proficiently.

  • Competent in accurately budgeting/forecasting costs associated with executing training courses

 

 

Experience

 

  • Real world Special Operations medical experience (Military, Federal or state/local)
  • Design and implementation and management of course curriculum

 

 

Things to obtain after hire within 1 Year of hire:

  • Basic Life Support Training Center Faculty or Instructor
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Training Center Faculty or Instructor
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support Training Center Faculty or Instructor
  • NAEMT – Course Coordinator and/or Faculty
  • NREMT- Program Director

  • Carries responsibility to be a consummate, organized professional who can drive business initiatives and training plans to completion.



DEMANDS

Time and Availability

 

  • Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours each week from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. or some variation thereof.
  • Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

 


Travel

 

  • Ability to travel long distances by car and airplane for up to 50% of job duties.
  • Ability to be absent from home for multiple days at a time and multiple times per year to support training and marketing efforts at locations worldwide.

 

 

Physical

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
  • Ability to use a computer including visual acuity and hand-eye coordination.

  • Ability to tolerate environmental extremes outside the office environment.
  • Ability to function in high stress, noisy and isolated environments.
  • Ability to work in both office and warehouse/assembly environments.
