Job Summary
This position leads NARS Marketing for the U.S., with a focus on gaining market share, building brand equity through innovative marketing programs. Focus on winning through consumer centric approach and strategies distorting digital media and ecommerce.
The SVP Marketing Americas is responsible for the development and implementation of the marketing strategy in order to drive long term profitable growth and build strong brand equity. Develop strategies to drive brand awareness, new customer acquisition, and sales. This role collaborates with Global Marketing, Product Development, Creative, NARS Sales Team, Finance, Forecasting, Global Communications, Digital, E-Commerce, Education & Key Retailers to drive integrated alignment and execution on all marketing initiatives directly in the U.S.
For Canada region – leverage synergies & define strategy to Win at Sephora & key retailers for all key launches and excellence in execution in partnership w local Canadian team.
This role requires executive agility to thrive and drive results in a highly, everchanging, and competitive environment. The ability to inspire and motivate the team is essential.
Success is also measured by ability to develop, lead, and manage team members to create a strong sense of culture and clear succession plans for growth within the NARS brand and Shiseido portfolio.

- Develop, lead, and manage team members to create a strong sense of culture and clear succession plans for growth within the NARS brand and the U.S. portfolio.
- Oversee and align product, channel, media and consumer marketing strategies for the U.S. market. Manage U.S. marketing budget inclusive of media, sampling, merchandising, collateral, POSM for all channels. Align marketing strategy and share best practices with Global Marketing and U.S. peers.
- Translate Global annual marketing plans into U.S. plans; inclusive of comprehensive market analysis by category/sub-category/sku level/market share/product segmentation. Create and execute key marketing strategies to gain share and grow rank in NPD.
- Understand product, consumer and digital trends in the marketplace and identify growth opportunities for NARS in order to gain market share. Develop U.S. objectives/strategies/market share goals for new product introductions in partnership with global marketing & ensure all forecasts and 360 plans are aligned with goals.
- Develop U.S. Marketing Launch Calendars by key Retailer/Launch pre-view in collaboration with Global Marketing. Ideate product launch plans for the U.S. DS/SS, Open Sell (Sephora/Ulta), and E-Commerce with channel/retailer differentiation. Partner with Global Marketing, Product Development & Forecasting. Responsible for approving forecasts as well as excess inventory management based on limited life and retailer exclusives.
- Work closely with Visual Merchandising to improve and enhance NARS counters and open sell gondolas to improve functionality through a customer centric approach. Approve all consumer touchpoint execution including in-store, web, email and media programs that connect the consumer to the product.
- Oversee the development of marketing strategies for DTC and differentiated retailer environments, including creating exclusive in order to maximize growth potential, drive long term profitability and build brand equity for the U.S. region– including creating exclusive offering and unique channel experience, marketing calendars and specific activations. Deliver to the Global President and Region CEO annual marketing objectives and strategies for key accounts in conjunction with sales channel leaders. Define events strategy and unique-to-NARS events concepts for launches. Guide content, appearance and efficiency of retailer web sites.
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in Retail and/or Marketing.
- Equally strategic, analytical, creative and pragmatic
- Strong leader with flexibility and ability to move quickly in a fast paced environment; commands authority
- A strong financial acumen and understanding of P&L required
- Must have a proven track record in successfully launching new products and executing innovative, digitally integrated marketing programs.
