This outstanding opportunity is part of the Systems Engineering Division which provides formulation, systems engineering, system integration and testing, and information engineering at various levels of flight projects and across the lab.
As an Undergraduate Summer Intern (SUM) supporting the Systems Engineering Division 31, you will assist with business operations including records management, financial budgets, analytical assessments, forecasting, trend analysis, facilities, and property management. You will prepare and learn to present the monthly/quarterly service center reports to section and division management. You will prepare and learn how to support Sections within the Division on ad-hoc assignments.

Your responsibilities include:
- Working with Division and Section business teams to research and populate Division 31’s Information Map
- Identifying and routinely using the most effective, cost efficient and best business practices to implement processes; continually evaluating their efficiency and appropriateness.
- Exercising judgment in planning, prioritizing and performing work; monitoring performance and reports status within area of responsibility.
- Assuring the quality of services meets internal and external customer requirements.
- May represent organization and resolve issues/determine priorities related to the above.
- Maintain, collate, assemble and prepare a variety of information, reports and records; may assist with coordination of organizational projects and/or collection of related information.
- Run and create standard reports using a variety of software programs.
- Scan inventory items and updates inventory database (manual or electronic).
- Must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- Must have at least 1 semester or quarter remaining to complete degree.
- Must be able to work full-time (40 hours per week) for 12 weeks during the summer of 2025.
- Must have minimum cumulative 3.0 out of 4.0 GPA.
- Knowledge in one or more of the following areas: business administration, finance, budgeting, workforce planning, computer science, acquisitions and human resources.
- Completed coursework with exposure to standard principals, theories concepts and techniques in business, accounting, financial analysis, forecasting/trend analysis, budgeting and reporting.
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel [pivot tables, macros, advanced functions], PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).
- A self-starter with the ability to work independently and apply judgment in planning, prioritizing, and completing tasks.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong customer service, philosophy, background, and utmost professionalism in interfacing with all levels of personnel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Prior internship experience in related business areas.
- Ability to perform routine tasks with a creative and enthusiastic approach
