Computer Engineer, AST, Data Systems

You will serve as a SpaceCube Product Lead responsible for overseeing product development, fabrication, testing, and delivery. You will work with the Principal Engineer to define the product design, quality, schedule, and cost, while collaborating with engineers in various divisions at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center to ensure the success of the product line. You will also be responsible for training and developing the team to increase efficiency and reduce schedule and cost.

In addition to the Basic Education Requirement (in the Education section below), to qualify for this position you must meet the requirements below and have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade, which has equipped you with the particular competencies needed to successfully perform the duties of the position described above.

To qualify for GS-13 , you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level :

• Working with a team of engineers and contributing to the development of a computer product;
• Organizing project work such as tracking and monitoring progress, coordinating efforts with leads, and / or evaluating outcomes to accomplish goals;
• Supporting the design, development, testing and / or fabrication of software and hardware to aid the delivery of a computer board-like product (e.g., SpaceCube).

To qualify for GS-14 , you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level :
