Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the sales team in identifying and developing new business opportunities in the agricultural sector.
- Support the creation of marketing and sales materials tailored to agricultural products and services.
- Collaborate with farm management to explore new markets and strategic partnerships.
- Utilize customer relationship management (CRM) tools and sales platforms to track leads, prospects, and customer data.
- Conduct market research on agricultural trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities.
- Help the team in developing proposals, contracts, and presentations for potential clients.
- Gain exposure to the integration of farm technology in sales strategies, including data analysis and customer insights.
Technical Skills:
- Ability to learn Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting, presentations, and data analysis.
- Ability to work online utilizing CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) for managing sales pipelines and customer interactions.
- Familiarity with agricultural technology platforms, including precision farming tools and data management systems, is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of data analysis and market research tools to evaluate sales trends and customer data.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with customers and internal teams.
Qualifications:
- Must Be Enrolled in School in a Relevant Academic Program: Actively enrolled in an accredited academic institution, pursuing a degree in a related field such as Agriculture, Business, Marketing, Technology, Finance, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Farm Management, or similar disciplines.
- Work Onsite & Remotely: Ability to work both on-site at and remotely, depending on the nature of the tasks and assignments. Flexibility with remote work opportunities will be provided when appropriate.
- Demonstrated Leadership or Work Experience: Prior demonstrated work experience, whether through previous internships, part-time jobs, volunteer work, or school projects, student-body activities, ideally related to business, agriculture, sustainability, or environmental practices.
- Reliable Transportation: Reliable transportation to and from the farm for on-site work. This is essential to ensure timely attendance and consistent work schedules.
- Flexible Internship Work Schedule Available: We offer flexibility with work hours, allowing you to balance your internship responsibilities with your class schedule.
- Completion of Full Internship Program: To receive your internship certificate, interns must complete the full duration of the program that will range from 4 weeks up to 12 weeks, depending on your internship role. This ensures that you gain the full scope of learning and hands-on experience offered by the program.
