Position Overview :
The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) - CVICU provides advanced clinical expertise in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). This role involves setting high standards for nursing practice, educating staff, consulting on complex cases, and contributing to the development of our CVICU's goal of becoming a heart transplant center.
The CNS will also play a vital role in designing and implementing evidence-based care and training programs, improving patient outcomes, and supporting nursing staff development.
Compensation :
Our client offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $180,000 to $200,000, commensurate with your experience, education, certifications, and skill set. This reflects a strong commitment to attracting top-tier talent for this pivotal role.
Key Responsibilities :
- Establish and monitor care standards in the CVICU, making recommendations to enhance clinical practice.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to assess patient and family needs, and develop comprehensive care plans for complex, high-risk patients.
- Create and deliver education programs for patients, families, and staff to enhance knowledge and skills; assist in program implementation.
- Provide consultation to healthcare team members to address the needs of individuals or patient groups in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Lead quality assurance initiatives, collect and analyze data on patient outcomes, and identify trends.
- Access KP Health Connect to evaluate care quality and manage clinical operations, ensuring appropriate documentation and discharge planning.
