Key Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight and professional development of staff, including performance evaluations and goal setting.
- Lead actuarial functions within the life/health/annuity division, including planning future activities and communicating insights to leadership.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and actuarial standards, maintaining SOA Continuing Professional Development requirements.
- Manage and maintain disaster recovery plans, ensuring preparedness in case of operational disruptions.
- Monitor industry trends and product profitability to offer competitive, value-driven product suites.
- Drive the product development process from ideation to implementation, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Provide insights to executive leadership regarding necessary product modifications.
- Collaborate with valuation, underwriting, and other teams to ensure coherence across business functions.
- Mentor and develop newer actuaries, strengthening the division's capabilities.
- Extensive experience working with Life and/or Annuity products.
- Strong technical and communication skills.
- Proven Life Pricing experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in leading direct reports.
