Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a Healthcare Operations Manager (Lab) to oversee laboratory operations in Special Chemistry, Auto Chemistry, and Hematology Lab. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with State and Federal regulations, CAP guidelines, and Quality Assurance standards.
The Operations Manager will also lead laboratory teammates and ensure the efficient execution of laboratory workflows.
Work Shift:
Night Shift: Tuesday - Friday, 5 PM - 3 AM with rotating Saturdays every 12-13 weeks.
Compensation:
Our client offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $40.00 to $60.00 per hour, commensurate with your experience, education, certifications, and skill set.
Bonus Compensation: Up to $10,500 annual bonus and $10,000 retention bonus.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and supervise teammates to ensure high-quality customer service.
- Manage employment activities, including hiring, promotions, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- Determine staffing plans to promote the most effective use of teammates, ensuring coverage during absences.
- Oversee test result accuracy, reporting, and compliance with service line standards.
- Apply clinical theoretical knowledge and scientific methods in problem-solving.
- Monitor workflow and delegate responsibilities to laboratory team members.
- Collaborate in quality improvement programs and evaluate key laboratory outcome indicators.
- Manage financial metrics (budgets, P&L, operating and capital expenses).
- Ensure laboratory sections are inspection-ready and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and exceed accreditation agency requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field is required.
- 6 years of Healthcare Operations experience.
- Florida Supervisor License in Special Chemistry, Auto Chemistry, and Hematology.
- Certification by a professional laboratory certifying agency (ASCP, AAB, or equivalent).
- Proven ability to track and manage major Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Demonstrated people leadership skills with a track record of mentorship and team development.
- Operations Management experience in a healthcare or laboratory setting.
Nice-To-Have Skills:
- Previous Clinical Lab Experience.
- Strong background in Hematology and Chemistry lab operations.
