Key Responsibilities:
Project Management
- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, from inception to completion, ensuring scope, budget, and schedule compliance
- Build and maintain client relationships, managing expectations and deliverables effectively
- Lead project teams, providing guidance to ensure successful execution
- Perform on-site investigations, including surveying, condition assessments, performance evaluations, field testing, and sample collection
- Develop detailed project deliverables, including proposals, technical analyses, repair solutions, construction drawings, specifications, and reports
- Understand Hawaii’s unique tropical climate and apply techniques to mitigate structural damage and degradation
- Build relationships with local contractors, designers, building officials, and stakeholders within Hawaii’s professional community
- Contribute to organizational goals through mentoring, participation in research and development initiatives, and involvement in professional organizations
- Support business development by engaging new and repeat clients
- Education:Master’s degree in civil/structural engineering or related field (equivalent expertise considered)
- Licensure:Licensed Structural Engineer (SE) or ability to obtain licensure
- Experience:At least 7 years of relevant industry experience (10 years preferred) in investigating, designing, analyzing, and repairing structural systems (e.g., concrete, steel, wood, masonry)
- Skills:
- Proficient in technical analysis and project management
- Strong written, verbal, and graphical communication skills
- Hands-on experience and willingness to conduct fieldwork
