Job Purpose for Go-Kart Maintenance Supervisor : Service and maintain our fleet of high-performance, gas-powered go-karts as well as bumper boats and pump / water features etc. As a Supervisor of the Mechanic team you will be an important part of the daily go-kart start up process, identify maintenance issues with the go-karts or go-kart tracks and take steps to assess, diagnose and fix the issues in order to keep the fleet of go-karts running smoothly. You will also plan and oversee go-kart maintenance projects, this includes maintaining a parts inventory. Assist the Manager or GM with budget, ordering and invoicing for supplies needed to operate the department. The Supervisor with provide training for Go-Kart Mechanics and audit for safety and effectiveness. While maintaining the fleet of go-karts and assisting with park maintenance projects, mechanics must follow all company rules and regulations. Assist with achieving overall park budget and safety goals.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR Go-Kart Maintenance Supervisor :

If assisting with guests or ride or track operations :
Assist guests with loading and unloading.Give directions in a manner that professional, caring and firm.Answer general questions and be helpful, friendly and courteous.Except when handling administrative duties which require office or meeting time, allocate remaining time (90-95% of overall time) to working on the front line with the Mechanic team maintaining and repairing the fleet of go-karts and training and mentoring team members.Create, monitor, oversee and encourage compliance with a process to monitor Department areas for cleanliness, safety issues, and guest opportunities, and dispatch Team Members for cleaning, intervention and guest service support as needed.Provide ongoing training to ensure all Department team members are prepared, knowledgeable and delivering service excellence and following safety standards.For staffing challenges between Departments, promote unity and cooperation among and between teams and report such challenges to the MOD (and HR and GM as appropriate) and work with Management to resolve issues and implement solutions. For staffing challenges within the Department which require intervention, report to HR and GM and work with the Management team to find and implement appropriate solutions.Address minor performance and behavior issues as trained by HR; For ongoing or moreserious performance / behavior issues, provide counseling and corrective action as trained by HR (and document counseling and corrective action as requested and / or trained by HR), and, where appropriate, communicate to HR and the General Manager, any recommendations for discipline, including suspension or termination, and support HR and GM in documenting all such HR matters.Complete department schedule in a timely manner. Report any scheduling challenges or irregularities to Department Management to ensure the department is adequately staffed / scheduled.Demonstrate "Always Safe" :
Be fully trained, knowledgeable and prepared to manage safety issues and incidents.Work with Management to implement, update (as needed) and oversee programs to promote safety awareness and injury prevention.Up-to-date knowledge of industry standards of care specific to the Department, and ability to effectively communicate such requirements to the team.Provide ongoing training to ensure the team is well prepared, knowledgeable and following applicable Safety Standards, Policies, and Procedures, and is assisting the guests to follow such Safety Standards, Policies, and Procedures.Ensure that each track / ride has the necessary supplies and inspection paperwork requiredfor operation. Ensure that all training paperwork is accurately completed, organized and filed.Ensure that all mechanics are assigned PPE and are following PPE protocol throughout operation. Coach & counsel team-members when violations occur. Report reoccurring violations to Department Management.Ensure that all safety signage is in place and not obstructed. Report any discrepancies to Department Management immediately. Provide input and feedback on potential signage improvements.Monitor weather and other working conditions to ensure team has sufficient five minute andrest breaks, proper hydration, hats, gloves and other needed support to stay warm in colder weather, and appropriate support to avoid heat exhaustion in warmer weather.Coordinate with Operations when downtime occurs.Follow Mechanic Safety GuidelinesEnsure go-karts are operating properly.Ensure highest levels of safety are maintained by adhering to OSHA, local health and safety codes, legal regulations and company safety and security policies are met.Communicate, follow and ensure compliance with safety guidelines.Report any malfunction immediately to supervisor.Operate machinery only when properly signed-offMaintain proper cleaning / sanitizing and organizing procedures.Use proper radio etiquette.Proper use and care of company equipment.Assist with daily ride inspections and complete checklists for maintenance needed.If assisting with guests or ride or track operations :
Ensure riders are safely secured before ride or go-karts go into operation.Quickly and safely correct spinouts.Communicate, monitor and maintain height / weight / rider restrictions respectfully and consistently.Maintain visual contact with the ride and guest.Do not use electronic devices while operating rides other than the radio provided.Follow Ride and Go-Kart operational policies and procedures.Demonstrate "Remember It's Fun" :

Experience supervising a team and maintaining inventory and safety procedures.Certification / Licensure - None necessary, able to complete Track and Ride Training, First Aid Training, CPR / AED Certification required or willing to complete training within first 3 months.
