Service Technician

Position Overview:
Join our team as a Service Technician based in Elko, NV. This position primarily involves working in a shop environment and entails troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on engines, pumps, and drilling equipment. Your contributions will uphold the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on light-duty vehicles, support equipment, and underground/surface drilling machinery.
• Perform routine maintenance, preventive maintenance on pumps, drill rigs, light vehicles, and other critical equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and provide solutions in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate logs of inspections, repairs, and quality checks.
• Collaborate with field operations to support maintenance and handle emergency repairs.
• Adhere to all company and client safety protocols, including lock-out/tag-out procedures and PPE requirements and fit for duty requirements.
• Be available for overtime, on-call shifts, and occasional travel to field locations.

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and low voltage electrical issues.
• Strong understanding of maintenance procedures.
• Strong understanding of MSHA safety standards.
• Ability to interpret manuals, hydraulic and electrical schematics, and equipment diagrams.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Capability to work independently in challenging environments, including underground and surface environments.
• Attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certificate from a recognized mechanical school or vocational training program preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience with hydraulics and drilling equipment, diesel engines, and mechanical systems.
• General mechanic expertise with hands-on repair skills.
• Welding and metal fabrication experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills, Microsoft Office, preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Own a complete set of tools and toolboxes.

Physical Demands & Work Conditions:

• Ability to lift 80 lbs. and perform strenuous manual labor.
• Ability to navigate safely in an underground and surface environment.
• Comfortable working in noisy, confined, or small spaces.
• Flexible work shifts, on-call hours, and adapt to varying schedules.
