Implement organization strategies through the effective direction and management of resources, while being accountable for the business strategies, functional or operational areas, processes or programs.

Responsible and accountable for managing and developing a team of people, setting direction and deploying resources on varying projects, participating in organization-wide projects.

Responsible for developing new financial products/exchange traded and cleared contracts and technology solution products (electronic trading environment and tools). Ensures the competitiveness of existing products. Strengthens the sales effort by working with marketing and sales staff to define competitive market requirements and opportunities. May provide input to new system development. Interacts with management in other areas in coordination and integration of products and services. May be responsible for product pricing, packaging and some revenue-generating responsibilities. Depending on organizational structure, the product delivery and implementation function may report to this position. May have full product management responsibility, including modeling of profit & loss and risk control.

Description Drive the strategic direction of the organization by leading and managing resources to achieve business objectives and long-term growth. Responsible and accountable for overseeing multiple teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and deliver on strategic initiatives. Participate in organization-wide projects, providing guidance and expertise as needed. Understand how other business units operate, how their goals align with organizational goals, and have budget and profit/loss responsibility.

Lead Data Platform ideas and activities across the organization. Participate in or lead analytical, experimental, investigative, and testing efforts in support of new product development engineering. Coordinate all phases of new product development for internal stakeholders. Develop overall strategy and further product development. Work closely with the (internal) customer base to identify key needs and appropriate product solutions. Act as a funnel for product development ideas and influence key people to realize commercial opportunities. Perform high-level strategic analyses and provide actionable insights and recommendations to the executive team to drive business growth and efficiencies.

Main Responsibilities

  • Establish product-market-fit for our new data platform.
  • Define and communicate broadly the product vision and roadmap.
  • Create buy-in for the product strategy with various stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Gain a deep understanding of the market, our customers, and our competitors to help shape and execute the product roadmap.
  • Lead the strategic planning, development, and execution of all product initiatives, ensuring alignment with the company's long-term vision and market opportunities.
  • Lead and manage a team of product managers, ensuring the team is effective at prioritizing actionable requirements and items for project execution.
  • Collaborate with key Business stakeholders to understand client pain points, develop product requirements, and work with the development team to execute the project from inception to launch.
  • Elevate product management best practices within the team and foster strong day-to-day working relationships between product and development teams.

Experience & Qualifications Required

  • 15 years of proven leadership experience in product management or a related field, with a strong track record of driving business growth and innovation. Advanced degrees such as an MBA or relevant industry certifications are preferred.
  • Strong experience with agile product development at an enterprise software firm within the financial services industry.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • Visionary and strategic leader with exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Must be proactive, results-oriented, and capable of driving organizational change.
  • Successful influencer with strong interpersonal skills to build relationships across different parts of the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas succinctly and clearly.
  • Strong track record of executing client projects on time and within budget.
  • Engineering or software development experience is strongly preferred, especially in Financial Services.

  • Build, manage, and provide leadership to a team of professional staff (may include other managers); perform other talent management and development decisions as needed.
  • Develop and establish functional strategy and tactics to ensure successful completion of work that meets or exceeds client and/or organizational expectations.
  • Manage resources and take accountability for the performance and results of multiple related teams.
  • Develop departmental/functional plans, including business unit and/or production priorities, to address resource and operational needs and challenges.
  • Identify, establish, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers internally and externally.
  • Education Required: Degree qualified in Computer Science, Business/Finance or related discipline, or equivalent work experience. Is working towards or has graduated with a post graduate degree in a related discipline.
  • Experience Required: At least 15 years

The base pay range for this role is $185,000 - $320,800. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, business needs and market demands.
