We manage the daily calculation and dissemination of the Nasdaq Indexes, including the application of corporate actions that affect the indexes. Additionally, we develop and detail new indexes using an ever-expanding inventory of securities, data, and calculations.
As a part of our Market Index Services team; you will be responsible for the maintenance of the indexes and improving our systems.

As a part of our Market Index Services team; you will be responsible for the maintenance of the indexes and improving our systems.
- Demonstrates a strong command of each level of the Index Analysts’ core responsibilities.
- Conducts quality assurance and monitoring of Index reporting to ensure accurate data information.
- Resolves Index calculation process issues, including code alerts, and provides further expertise as necessary.
- Collaborates with other groups in system and product development projects.
- Perform daily administration of Index processes and procedures as governed by the Index methodologies.
- Assist with basic and complex customer inquiries.
- Calculate index values/market values/divisors/etc. for verification of production values, as well as for testing purposes for fixes/enhancements
- Leads and plans user acceptance plans and creates tests for enhancements and new development.
- Draft detailed documentation for new and existing Index data sources, processes, and standard operating procedures
- Research new data sources to discover and document their strengths and weaknesses
- Document and implement projects using Confluence, JIRA and other tools utilizing the Agile way of working
- Innovate in all aspects of index creation and operation, data quality and variety, and technical infrastructure
- Uncover product and infrastructure improvement opportunities; prepare requirements and cases
- Education Required: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or another relevant field
- Experience Required: At least 3 years
- Proficiency in English both written and spoken
- A Track record of working optimally both independently and with a team
- Well organized and able to complete multiple, time-sensitive projects
- Excellent Excel skills
