JOB DESCRIPTION : Tutor
REPORTS TO : Principal
SALARY GRADE :
NATURE OF WORK : An employee in this position is responsible for tutoring a selected group of students that are demonstrating deficiencies in identified areas. Work requires a broad understanding and detailed knowledge of reading / math instruction. Program tasks include the provision of instructional and support services.
School term tutorial tasks are directed and supervised by teachers and principal(s).
Work is evaluated by the Principal and Director through observations, work performed, and conferences.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Assist students according to project objectives
- Provides school and program information to teachers, students and their parents
- Provides appropriate instructional and support services
- Prepares, maintains, and complete required work logs, schedules, forms, and reports
- Participates in assigned staff development activities to improve job skills
- Performs related duties as assigned by the Superintendent or his / her designee
