Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Superintendent with a specialized focus on medical facility projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in overseeing the construction of hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion, specifically for medical facilities.
- Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
- Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
- Select tools, materials, and equipment and track inventory.
- Meet contractual conditions of performance.
- Review the work progress on a daily basis.
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
- Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
- Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts, and obtain permits and licenses.
- Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks.
- Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant job site by enforcing safety and legal regulations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a construction superintendent, with a strong preference for experience in medical projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSH guidelines.
- Understanding of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems specific to healthcare facilities.
- Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- A knack for problem-solving.
- Good physical condition and stamina.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field is preferred.
- Relevant certifications may be required or beneficial.
