Nashoba Valley Ski Area in Westford Massachusetts has several immediate openings for seasonal Ski Lift Operators and Attendants.
Wages
- New hires start at $15.00/hr. w/rate increasing to $16.00 when training is completed and able to work independently (most complete this within a week or 2)
Operating Hours
- Monday: Closed
- Tuesday - Friday: Noon – 9:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
- Sunday: 9:00 AM – 5:00PM
Individual's shift hours will be determined at the time of hiring.
Ski Lift Operators and Attendants work directly with our skiing and snowboarding guests. observing and assisting as they load, ride and unload from our lifts.
Responsibilities and Duties
Ski Lift Operators and Attendants carefully observe skiers and snowboarders as they approach, load, ride and unload from our lifts. They attempt to reduce the likelihood of accidents or injuries by:
- Offering instruction;
- slowing or stopping the lift;
- offering physical assistance;
- maintaining orderly traffic as guests approach and depart from the lifts;
- maintaining snow surfaces.
Qualifications and Skills
- Lift Operators must be at least 18 years old.
- No Experience is necessary but Lift Operators and Attendants must be capable of:
- presenting a positive customer service image;
- paying careful attention to guests as they use the lifts;
- occasional lifting;
- snow shoveling and raking;
- completing daily operational log forms.
Scheduling
- Lift Operators and Attendants are scheduled individually with schedules being determined at the time of hire.
