What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Instructor position at Nashoba Valley Technical High School?
Nashoba Valley Technical High School is seeking to add an additional Electrical teacher to join our community of teachers, learners, and leaders. Nashoba Valley Technical High School serves students from our district towns of Ayer, Chelmsford, Groton, Littleton, Pepperell, Shirley, Townsend, and Westford, Massachusetts.
The preferred candidate will have teaching or training experience, interest in serving in a vocational-technical high school setting, and DESE licensed as an electrical teacher or able to obtain licensure and begin working under a licensure waiver. For more information please contact the school.
DESE Licensure Requirements (taken from 2019 : Massachusetts general requirements)
-High school diploma or the equivalent
-Current Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician license
-Current MA Master Electrician license
-Five years of full-time employment experience directly related to electricity
-Passing score on each test (written test, performance test) in electricity
One of the following:
-Achieve a passing score on the Communication and Literacy Skills test or
-Achieve a passing score on the Vocational Technical Literacy Skills Test (VTLST).
