What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional (DSP)- Hampstead Group Home position at Nashua Center?
Nashua Center of Nashua, NH is looking to hire full-time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to support individuals with developmental disabilities and acquired brain disorders to lead self-directed and meaningful lives at our HAMPSTEAD, NH group home.
You provide this support in a 3-person residential home. Your support is needed in many areas of daily living including medication administration, bathing, hygiene, errands, meal preparation, eating, transportation (wheelchair van), housekeeping, recreation, and leisure activities. You also help them celebrate achievements and provide comfort during difficult times. With awareness of their individual service plan (ISP), you also work with a team to learn new skills and achieve goals.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL (DSP)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Driver's license
- Insured car
- Willing to undergo a criminal record check
- Ability to proficiently read and write in English
- Ability to lift 30 lbs.
- Desire to relate to people with developmental disabilities and acquired brain disorders
