Responsibilities:
- Perform dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, and root canals
- Conduct routine dental examinations and cleanings
- Diagnose oral diseases and conditions
- Develop treatment plans for patients based on their oral health needs
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices
- Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists to provide comprehensive dental care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Skills:
- Proficient in medical coding for dental procedures
- Knowledge of vital signs and ability to monitor patients during procedures
- Familiarity with medical records management systems, such as Epic
- Experience with medical imaging techniques, including CAD (Computer-Aided Design)
- Strong patient assessment skills to identify oral health issues and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Proficiency in Dentrix or similar dental practice management software
- Ability to work in a fast-paced dental office environment
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
